Professor Drummer is Head of Scientific Services at the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine, Chairperson of Standards Australia Oral Fluids (saliva) Drug Testing Standard and President-elect of The International Association of Forensic Toxicologists (TIAFT).

He is a University lecturer in Forensic Toxicology and has published many scientific papers in the field of toxicology including reviews for the United Nations.

Professor Drummer is an associate editor of the journal “Forensic Science International” and he is also the author of a standard text on drugs of abuse “The Forensic Pharmacology of Drugs of Abuse”.

Professor Drummer is a NATA assessor in both medical and forensic fields and he is available to act as an expert witness and to provide written opinions in matters relating to drug detection and the effects of drugs.
